Hey! Surprised to “see” me? I hope everyone that reads this is doing great!

I have been living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for the past 11 months or so. Working at Foster’s Market, spending time with the men who are living at Mrs. D’s, and getting things done around town. It’s been great, and looking forward to getting back there at the end of July this summer.

As for the time between now and end of July, I’ll be helping lead a group of young women to Bugiri, Uganda. We leave a week from today! We’ll be there for about three and a half weeks. This is some incredible exposure to the world for these young ladies, and for us leaders. I’m blessed yet again to be able to be a part of such an experience. God can do such big things, even in a small amount of time. The word says that there are good works prepared in advance for us to do, and we go there in faith, knowing that He has a reason for us to be there. It is incredible that we will be able to be God’s love to people, whether that is visiting someone in the hospital, holding kids that have been abandoned and never known what love looks like, or having a simple conversation with someone about God.

We just started training camp today with the leaders, the kids will be getting in on Thursday, and we’ll be heading out next Monday.

Nervous, yet excited.

More to come soon.
