Did you go to high school? College?
As that senior year rolls around, especially the senior year of college, you’ll get that question – What are you going to do after graduation? What’s next?
I never did like that question. I didn’t know what was next. That was over a year ago, and man has a lot happened since then.
So now, with a month left of the Race, that question has been tossed around just a little bit. What’s next?
For a long time I didn’t know, I didn’t have an answer.
Now I do.
When I go home the Race doesn’t end. This trip isn’t the point. The point is that I want my life to be an overflow of Christ living in me. I want to see and be a part of God’s kingdom moving throughout the earth. I want to see men and women in the United States come alive for Christ. I want to see people who are broken down and hurting drop their masks and open themselves up to the grace and truth in Jesus Christ. I want to see Christians in America shake off the dust of complacency, stand up, be free, and change the world around them as God changes them. I want orphans to be cared for and those living in poverty to receive love and compassion.
I want to raise up young men to desire to become men instead of boys and value truth and purity over their own selfishness and pleasure.
How is this going to happen? We, people, are Christ’s representatives on earth. He is in us and works through us, and we have to be open. I am Christ’s representative. I want to work for God’s glory. I want to be a part of what He is doing in the world. So what does this mean for me? Start a church? Start a ministry for college or high school guys? Go to seminary or back to school? These are good options, but there’s another one for me.

This January, teammates
Chris Scott,
Natalie Smith, and I, are going to be going to Spain and living at the
G42 Leadership Academy. It is a leadership school for those who know there is something more and desire to see “God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
“The 42nd generation is a network of Christ-followers with the mission to plant churches & ministries and to spread the Kingdom of God around the world – to inspire & develop leaders & radicals who are passionate about the poor, orphans, & laying their lives down for Christ.“
I know I want to see “Christ formed in me,” and I know that in order to do that I need to experience some growth, some maturity, some teaching and training. I need to be pushed and challenged by some older guys who have seen a few things and have been walking closely with God for longer than me.
As I said, I want to see “Christ formed in me,” and I want to be
challenged and pushed, but ultimately this is not about me. This is
about God’s kingdom and it is about people. It is about “healing the
sick and setting captives free.”
“For whoever wants to
save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find
it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet
forfeits his soul?” -Jesus
I want to lose my life for the sake of God’s Kingdom. I want to follow God where he is leading me. Right now that is to Spain.
Will you help me?

Over the past 10 months I’ve seen more than I could have ever imagined
and experienced the world in a way I never thought I could. We’ve
helped lay the foundation for an orphanage in Haiti with our own blood,
sweat, and sore backs. We’ve seen people set free from sin and
addiction in the Ukraine. We’ve seen sickness healed and hearts healed
in the African bush of Malawi and Mozambique. We’ve seen women in
Thailand set free from the bondage of prostitution and come to the
freedom of Jesus. We’ve seen some things. We’ve been a part of some
stuff this year. These aren’t just my stories, these are yours as well,
as this isn’t possible without supporters who are willing to give of
their own livelihood to see good happen in the world and to see Jesus’
love come to the lives of others far away.
This is me asking you to partner with me. I am going to Spain for
intentional growth, training, and preparation, so that God can use me
to further impact the world and those who are in need. The men running
the school and the teachers that come in are knowledgeable, experienced,
and passionate. I want to catch that passion, soak up that knowledge,
and get prepared for experiences in the world. I believe and intend for this to be a time of growth, maturity, and catching a vision, and I do need
your help. Costs include tuition, which is 1,000 dollars a month, as well as travel to and from Spain.
If you would like to support me financially for any amount, please visit the
G42 site, learn about what they are doing, and visit the “
Donate” page. To support me or my teammates click “Intern Support” and enter our name(s).
If you have any questions feel free to email me or post a comment here on the blog.
THANK YOU!!
