The Lord is our Provider!
Fundraising for the World Race has been a new and challenging experience for me. I have never needed to have 15,500 dollars all at one time. Looking back at at my previous work experience, I havent even made that much money in a year! Looking at what I had to raise was a daunting task and in the beginning made me fear failing. Failing to raise enough, failing to make this trip happen.
I took my eyes off of the one who would provide for me. I had forgotten that the Lord had asked me to walk with Him on this new adventure, not run ahead. I was not the one who was going to make this trip possible, but the Lord.
And He has done so through all of you! The Lord has opened doors and provided opportunities with such perfect timing, letting me know that He is still in control and he will provide. Each new day another need is met and I learn more about God's will and how I fit into His plan.
I want to thank those of you who are reading this who have contributed to my trip through your prayers, encouragement, and material support. The Lord has used you to comfort me, teach me, and correct me.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."
