Hello friends! I wanted to update everyone one the past month! (:
On February 6th I moved back to be with my family in Eatonville WA. My reasons for moving are all covered in my previous blog called Changes (: I really felt like God wanted me to come home and spend time with my family before I go away for 11 months. I am living with my brother and sister-in-law and it’s been great! I got the job at the gym I had an interview for when I knew I would be moving! Yay! It’s been such a great job so far. I work in the mornings mon-fri doing childcare. Then I can workout after my shift! Only working mornings has freed my evenings up to help my mom out since she is under the weather with her back problems. I was so blessed to get this job I started working two days after I moved! God always provides (:
As for fundraising I’m at about $2,200. My first deadline is $5,000 by May. I plan on sending out more support letters this week. I will be having a garage sale probably beginning of April. So if you live within an hour of me and want to donate anything for me to sell at my garage sale let me know! All the money is for my trip! I’m hoping do to a car wash once the weather gets a little nicer. My only issue is that I don’t have a lot of help for a car wash so I will be asking around for some help. I’m going to talk to the local market owner to see if I can do a bake sale! If I can I will set a table up and talk to people as they come into the store while selling goodies. I ask you guys to keep these fundraising events in your prayers. Raising support is hard. I know the World Race is what God wants me to do and the money will be provided. I need people to help with the events so please pray I can get enough support!
For all the little technical things regarding my trip I have all my shots! I have most of my malaria pills and my typhoid pills. I got my passport as well!! It was so exciting getting it in the mail! My ticket for training camp is booked. I have some of my gear. By some I mean my packing cubes, hammock, and computer case. Lol All the other things I need I will be buying closer to June (when training camp is) once I save up more money. The gear for my trip is not covered by fundraising so that I have to pay for myself. If you want to donate toward my trip, but want the money to do toward my tent, shoes, sleep bag, or other gear let me know so you can gave me the money directly.
So far I’m on track with everything. God is so good at proving all that I need. I have been truly blessed these past few months. Thank you to all my supporters! Reaching over $2,000 was really exciting! I’m almost half way to my first goal. Please keep my in your prayers as I continue to fundraise and prepare for my mission trip. (:
