This isn’t for the reader that wants to read a feel good story. This story is for those who seek the truth even if it hurts..
You place your judgements on what you can see but what about what goes on behind the curtains? Will you choose to listen to the voices of the broken crying out:
“Come save me, come make me clean, I never wanted this life! You think I chose this? What woman wants to be raped, used, empty, controlled, and noticed only when someone is lusting for their own affirmation as a human being? This chose me!”
“Why are our voices silenced yet our souls are screaming out, ‘Just tonight please let my body belong to only me.'”
Stop closing the shutters. Pornography, stripping, prostitution, abduction, selling children and women: all of these are connected to sex trafficking.
Don’t be blinded!
This is slavery, and the ones that have told you that slavery has ended are the sowers of deceit. It’s easy to place the blame solely on the ones that demand sex, but are we any different than them if we ignore the slavery that is going on all over this world? Trafficking women and children for sexual exploitation is the fastest growing organized crime in the world; second to the illegal drug industry.
Even though all of this can lead to despair and hopelessness, my God will not not stay quiet! Because of God’s love there is hope, there is a powerful force that’s coming against this exploitation. Jesus Christ has bought them at a high price so that they can be set free and never have to be sold for their body again. This isn’t for the reader that wants to stay ignorant or pretend like all of this isn’t happening.
So you know the truth now.
What will you do with it?
Is it worse to be ignorant or aware and ignore it? What if this was your daughter? Or future spouse? Sister? Friend? Does everything really need to hit so close to home in order for us to care?
Hope and restoration are beginning in so many of these women, children and men’s lives now. But there are still more people enslaved that need a voice.
Speak out for them.
Ways you can make a difference:
-bring awareness
-Pray for and have compassion on these women
-Pray for these men as well – pimps and johns are hurting others because they are hurting too
-Get involved in a ministry. Even if you make a difference in one girl’s life, that is one person that escapes captivity and can freely share her story of true worth.
