Hey everyone, I am so sorry for the delay in bloging. Africa’s Internet is limited, but also I am not too fond of writing. I have a great deal to tell; yet we are leaving very early tomorrow and I still need to pack my back. So here is a recap in bullet points.
• Malawi so far, has been one of my favorite months on the race.
• We worked with Timothy Harvest Ministries.
• Our contact Eddie is like no other man I know. He follows the Lord every second of ever day. (A lot more on Eddie to come)
• We lived in a nice mud brick house for the month without electricity, with Eddies’ family of seven. It was tight living, but wonderful.
• Eddie taught me how to be a servant to those around me.
• We went door to door evangelizing to a predominantly Muslim village.
• We spoke/preached to approximately 800 people in one month.
• I got sick, yet learned to turn to God before humans. Seems simple, it’s not. HaHa
• Endured a 48-hour bus ride from Malawi to South Africa. (Not as bad as you may seem, we had AC and a toilet, score!)
• Got to go on a Safari and saw a lion, zebras, elephants, giraffes and much more!
• Now we are heading to Swaziland, on top of a mountain to work with El Shaddi Ministries. Which includes an orphanage (so excited) and we will be helping them build or construct something (not sure yet) Our sheet said manual labor!
• Internet has and still will be limited. I promise once we reach Europe I will fill everyone in on what Africa is like!
• I am only $1,950 dollars away from being fully funded. Thank the Lord! Almost there! Please pass the word around! Thank you Thank you Thank you to all of you who have made this race possible. Thank you for listening to God’s whisper and being apart of something so huge, I can’t even grasp it at times! Thank you!
