Meet Angie, He is the one with his back against the post in this picture. This is one of my favorite pictures so far on the race. Angie is a friend of our contacts and he ate meals with us, but he always saved some on his plate to feed his brother Kaybee through the fence. Kaybee was shy and didn't come in the the compound much. This simple act broke my heart every time he looked after his younger brother. To me it shows sacrifice and love. These children have nothing compared to American standards, yet to me they show to me that they have more than some, because some of us have not learned these lessons yet. What is true sacrifice? What is love? There are many answers, yet this pictures shows it all.
During Hurricane Sandy (taken by Chris)

After church one Sunday!
Hurricane Sandy aftermath.
Sweet Samia.
Another one of my favorite pictures, Hannah Haley playing red light, green light, in the local village playing games with the kids. We also got the opportunity to act out Bible stories and involve the children as actors.
Still working on uploading more photos…stay tune!
