well, friends, I cannot believe this is really happening. I am going on the World Race Gap Year program! My adventure started a couple days ago when I received on of the best phone call from the AIM admissions office telling me that I have been accepted into the October 2016 Gap Year route 1. I am beyond excited!!

If you do not know me, I was born in Elk Grove, CA. I have been so blessed to live in such a loving and safe Town. I have lived in the same neighborhood all my life  and it’s where I have meet some of my best friends. They are a big part of my life, But one of my absolute best friends is my twin sister Marissa. When people think about the stereotypical twin type they’re thinking about us. We do absolutely every thing together and when I say everything I mean we have never spent longer than 8 hours apart, so Spending 9 months away will be pretty interesting.  I also have 2 older siblings; My brother Grant and My sister Alana. I have the most supportive parents who love me very much.  I am beyond grateful for such caring parents like them.

I am a pretty happy person. If you see me smiling its because every day brings a new reason to smile. I want to laugh every day of my life and smile so others will smile back. One of my favorite Bible verse is, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”- Psalm 118:24.

I am an adventurous/athletic person. I have done pole vaulting and track, which is a wild sport. I am also on my high school cheer team. But the one thing that I absolutely love , love, love is hiking. I love going up a mountain and being able to see all of God’s beauty, that I would not have seen if I was at home. I savor the moment when I reach the top, and looking back can see what I have accomplished. In addition, I spend a lot of my time volunteering. I joined Key Club last year and ever since then you will see me almost every weekend waking up early, going to an event that I hadn’t heard about till a couple days ago, and cheering on the runners (I usually volunteer at runs). I enjoy the constantly new adventures and have a thirst for doing something new.

The Lord is doing crazy things in my heart and moving in ways I could have never imagined. The world Race Gap Year is only the beginning of my life long ministry as an ambassador for His Kingdom! I can’t wait  12 more months until I get to start this adventure. I have a lot to learn being at the feet of Jesus  as I prepare for the World Race Gap Year. If you could, please Pray that my heart is open and ready to receive all that the Lord has for me both before and during the race.

I invite you to take this journey with me. Be active. And take part! Pray donate and spread the word. I am looking forward to see what God has in store.
