Next month (actually in 2 days), month 4, December… my squad will be heading to Laos.
Laos is closed country to Christianity and so we must be extra super duper careful with security not just for our sake but for the sake of our potential contacts.
Next month our ministry will look a lot different then the past three month on the race. My team will be doing what is called Unsung Heroes. Unsung heroes are local people, foreign missionaries, or ministries that are unrecognized within Laos and are sharing the gospel. Our job is to find and locate contacts that have not been found before and to encourage them in their work, to listen and to raise awareness about what they are trying to do. In Laos, especially it can be very difficult and discouraging to share the gospel because of the rules about religion. So, this month we will not have contact or provided housing. We must trust the Lord to lead us to new contacts and work out where we will live.
Pray for our team, and the two other teams who are doing Unsung Heroes next month. That we would have ears to hear and hearts to be open to hat God has for us next month. And also pray that we would be successful in finding new ministries.
