Isn't it interesting sometimes to find God in the most unexpected places? That could possibly be one of my favorite attributes of our living God.
He is so unpredictable and so BEYOND me!!
(Thankfully!)
A God FULL of surprises!!
This month has been so AMAZING here in Ireland and i have seen God move in POWER in an abundance of ways. Our last week in Ireland was just another example! God swooped down like a mighty rushing wind and settling on a little tent in the hills of the Wicklow Mountains.

(Our Campsite at Wicklow)

As my team and I arrived at DCM camp there was a heavy anticipation in the air that God was going to move. I had no idea, however, exactly what the Lord had planned. We had been praying for the camp and for these girls for weeks and that Saturday night before the campers came we decided to split up and do a prayer walk. We walked all over the campsite praying that God would be felt strongly there throughout the week. As I went from tent to tent my heart stopped me and I stood still in front of one of the tents. I felt a little nudge saying "step inside". I walked inside the tent and spread out my arms to pray asking the Holy Spirit to claim that ground for the glory of God. I prayed that God would draw near to whoever ended up being in that tent so that they would KNOW and FEEL his love. For reasons, unknown to me at the time, God led me to specifically pray over that one tent.
The next day, when the girls arrived we were each assigned a tent with five campers with us.
Wouldn't you know that the same tent I stepped into was the one God assigned to me?!?
I was excited already!!

(MY WONDERFUL TENT WITH JESUS!!)
The first night was rough. We were up all night. They were homesick and scared in the woods. The girls did not know me and they were definitely not looking to trust me just yet but as we gathered together in that tent and began to talk I could see them slowing letting their walls down piece by piece. As the wind blew loud and hard that night I encouraged them to think of God when they heard the wind. "It is just a reminder to let us know He is there," I said.
The next day, after the morning session, two of those girls asked Jesus into their heart. They were so eager to tell us that night in our tent time. The following day, the other three girls decided to make the same choice and accepted Jesus as their Savior! After handing out bibles to many of the girls we began to see the most beautiful thing. All of the girls wanted to read their bibles all the time. They didn't want to go to the playground. They didn't want to ride go carts. I found two girls hiding under a table in the garage reading the Gospel of John chapter by chapter. Later, one girl came to me saying, "Megan! Come quick! She won't quit reading her Bible! I don't know what's wrong with her!"
It was so refreshing to wake up every morning to see the girls already awake laying in their sleeping bags reading their bibles. These young girls were so HUNGRY for the Word that they could not put it down! Oh Lord, forgive us for not having that same hunger!!! Thank you for your Living Word that is sharper than a two edged sword and pierces even through bone and marrow!
One of my girls explained her experience like this: "I feel like my heart got ripped out and a new one was put in."
Simply put in the words of a child. WHAT FAITH!!!

(The whole crew at DCM Camp!! LOVE THEM!!!)
I am so thankful that God brought me to that tent. I am grateful that God spoke to my heart to PRAY and even more grateful that God HEARS my prayers!! The funny thing is, God already had a plan. He just graciously ALLOWED me to be a part of it!! What a blessing!! He invited me into that tent to pray for what He already wanted to do. Sometimes I wonder just how much of what God is up to is simply dependent on my faith to participate. To be faithful and obedient to partake of the Kingdom He is bringing to Earth and offer it to those I come in contact with everywhere I go.
What is God inviting you to be a part of?
Where and who is He asking YOU to take the Kingdom to?
Don't miss it!!
The offer is there.
It is an honor and a privilege to JOIN God at work and to have the King of Kings INVITE us to be a part of it!
Don't stand by and watch it all happen.
He can show up anywhere…even in a tent.
