HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I am now completely, totally, 100% fully funded for the World Race! I have tears in my eyes typing this out because it is such an amazing feeling to experience!! Thank you so much to everyone who has blessed me with their donations – I cannot express my gratitude, nor likely will ever be able to. Each of you, no matter how much or how little money you gave, or whether you supported me through yours prayers alone, have been an integral part of this journey of mine…this is one of the few times where I can honestly say “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here.”
Over this past year-plus-a-few-months, I have seen $13,800 walk right into my support account. Wow. That is a LOT of money. You crazy people believed in me, in this World Race, and –more than anything– in the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To each of you, I am eternally grateful. As I told a very very dear friend of mine, one who has blessed me with the love of a true brother, I will repay you the only way I know how…being faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and sharing His hope and love with those who have never received it.
That is all I can do. I hope it is enough.
To everyone who is wondering what to do now with the money you were planning on continue to support me with… THERE ARE MANY MORE RACERS WHO NEED A LOT MORE SUPPORT TO COME IN…AND SOON!!!! One of these racers in particular has grown very near and dear to me over the past few months – my Jubilee teammate DJ Kelley. I wish every single one of you could meet this man of God. He has challenged me and encouraged in so many ways over the course of the Race, and has been a brother to me through thick and thin. DJ has an incredible heart for bringing the Gospel to all peoples and all nations, and has been gifted by God to bring that love and hope in a unique, earnest, and genuine way. We have had some great adventures together already, from climbing massive trees to exploring jungle islands/volcanoes to doing ridiculous skits and dramas for schoolkids. Plus, he can grow some wicked facial hair too, so you gotta respect that.
