I can’t believe I’m posting my first blog on the field. I landed in Honduras on January 9. We are already close to the end our time here in Honduras, then off to Guatemala.

It’s a beautiful country with smiles and greetings everywhere you turn. However, behind the smiles lies brokenness, searching for hope. As I began to take this all in, my heart broke and the reason I’m here became so clear again. I’m here to be lead by the Holy Spirit to love, offering hope and protection just as Jesus did. That’s what the Heart of Christ whom we are partnering with, is doing.

Heart of Christ is a ministry that reaches out to young women and children who are victims of rape and incest and children with special needs. We are here to partner with them by construction projects on the ministry headquarters, village ministry, loving and playing with the children living in the ministry, and any other way needed.

God is moving already; seeds have been planted while some have sprouted into salvation.

Not only has God been working through us, but also He has been working in us. He is stirring up our hearts and displaying visions for His Kingdom. He is revealing strongholds and bringing things to surface.

I ask that you all would pray for my team and I as we are going through the transitions from what we knew back home to life on the mission field throughout these next 11 months and 11 countries.
