Dear Friends and Family,

I am sorry for not informing all of you about this earlier, but internet in Africa is crazy like they say and well, other things took precedence until now.

At the beginning of Uganda, God did some crazy things with our squad, including changing all of the teams. It sounds strange to change things up so late in the game, but we trusted our squad leaders were listening for God’s voice and following after his will for our entire squad. So before we headed out to ministry in Uganda, my team was slightly changed.

We lost Jake, which was very sad. He had become a great friend to me over the past 8 months and besides, who would Emily and I now watch LOST with? But God had bigger plans for him and we graciously handed our brother over to grow on another team.

These changes also brought some wonderful new blood to Malachi. Welcome Bek Conley and Jordan Drake to the team. John and Jordan had been friends since training camp, and the four of us girls spent time with Bek during our time in Thailand. They were a welcome addition and have been such great assets to our team. God has blessed us since the changes and getting to know Bek and Jordan even more has blessed every member of Malachi.

We kept our team name and the meaning of being God’s messengers this year. So Malachi now has 7 members, which makes performing our Good Samaritan skit a whole lot easier now.

God has been so good to all of us and even allowed this team to feel like family in a very short amount of time.

To help introduce Malachi and where we’ve been so far on this trip, we made a video that we will be sharing in the schools in our current city in Ukraine. And I’ll now share it with all of you. Enjoy!
