It has been a while since my last post, as I finished up with school and recently graduated!
Life has been hectic but God has been so faithful to me, giving me opportunities to meet new people and share The World Race with them. Just yesterday I got to meet someone from my World Race family, and it made everything seem more real that I am actually traveling to 11 different countries in 11 months! It was also very encouraging knowing I am not alone and this group I am going with will be my family and best friends. With me finally finishing up with school I still have been hustling to make money for my missions trip. Like I said God has been so faithful with blessing me with many opportunities and I don't even think the people God has been sending my way know how much of a blessing they have been to me.
Just today 8/16/13 my two really awesome friends helped me with a fundraiser. I am not going to lie I was so incredibly nervous as this was way out of my comfort zone, I felt like I was going to pass out! We talked to our township to see if we could collect money while standing by the intersections where there are stop lights and basically walk back and forth collecting money. I do not know why but this was so challenging for me to get over. It's not as easy as it looks!
I never realized just how humbled you really have to be, letting hundreds of people drive past you and only a few people give money. I just didn't want to get rejected and maybe I thought way too much into it. Once my friend and I started ( and we even worked out a buddy system) we actually got a lot of donations and told them what The World Race is all about. I just know it is prayer because I really feel like everywhere I go to get sponsored for this trip God is opening so many doors and giving me so many opportunities and it is teaching me so much! I have learned so much already about The Lords love he has for his children!
I also want to take a moment and thank everyone who has helped donate to me and have been supportive. You truly are making a difference. May the Lord Bless you!
Thank you for your time and be blessed
In Him,
Margaret D Poch
