Over two years ago I walked into the doors of Crossroads Bible Church anxiously awaiting my final interview for the Children’s Ministry Intern position. I remember walking upstairs and meeting Chantel, the Children’s Pastor, and praying really hard that she couldn’t tell just how nervous I was. She walked me around the office and introduced me to people who I had no idea would one day become my family. She then brought me into her office to introduce me to Amanda, the pre-school director, and begin my interview. I am embarrassed to admit it now, but I am pretty sure that what landed me the position was my reference to Taylor Swift’s song Shake it Off right smack in the middle of my interview. Two weeks later I had the job and joined the ever-changing, exciting, crazy, hectic, amazing, wonderful, and Jesus filled life of Crossroads staff. And let me tell you this, my life hasn’t been the same since

The love I felt from this church completely endeared me and sparked my passion for a career in ministry. There is never a shortage of grace or heart when it comes to this staff or the members of our church. They show this daily in the way that they minister to others, and this has been a blessing to witness as I begin my own journey in ministry. Not only has Crossroads allowed me to grow both spiritually and emotionally, but they have also been there every step of the way to help guide me. Especially now, as I prepare to go onto the mission field, my Crossroads family has continued to support me both financially and spiritually. I know they will be praying for me and cheering me on as I embark on this journey and that they will all be watching to see how God works through me.

Shoutout to my homies at CBC!

XOXO,
