So… I’m in Africa! I really tried to post a blog while I was in Thailand, wifi was sketchy, it didn’t work out. So here’s a few pictures and notes about what I did in Thailand and what life was like the past few months! It’s random and out of order, but it’s something!

One of our ministries was having English camps. We would pack a bag and drive a few hours away to teach English to these kiddos. It was fun playing and talking with the kids and teens even though they didn’t learn a bit. In this picture, they are learning how to make soap, and they are learning how to speak English by repeating the words “citric acid” and “stirring stick”
Our Kanchanaburi farm! This is where we lived in Thailand. On the left you can see rubber trees, in the front- tapioca, the big leaf trees are banana trees. They also grow peppers, cucumbers, eggplants, tamarinds and coconuts. It was awesome to have loads of fresh bananas every day! This picture is taken from the second story of a house that is in the process of being built. It’s where we worshiped, hung out and watched the sunsets.
Traditional Thai dancing in honor of the King’s birthday! It was quite the celebration and it lasted all month. Yellow is his color.
Hungry? My new favorite thai snack! Bugs! In all honesty the crickets were delicious!
We lived about 30 minutes from a tiger temple. It’s a place started by monks dedicated to rescuing tigers and giving them a place to live. One benefit is that we got to pet them!
A huge part of our time in Thailand was teaching English at “border schools” twice a week. I fell in love with these kids even though they were crazy! Since we were so close to the border, most of the students were actually from Myanmar!
Mae and Mary on the motorbike! Just a small part of our Thai family. Mae cooked most of our meals for us (which were AMAZING) and Mary kept us busy. Pang, Mae’s daughter, was our host and the founder of the ministry. She ran all the camps and organized everything for us. She also took us to so many places in her truck! Pang is the most incredible person I met in Thailand and I’m so glad I got to live with her and spend 3 months with her! Sadly my pictures with her won’t load 🙁
So that’s just a bit of what life was like in Thailand!
