Yesterday I officially finished my second semester of college. And as I begin to think back on the past year, it amazes me how much has happened. How much God has done for me and how thankful I am for everything.
I’m thankful for all the opportunities I’ve been given over the past year. From getting to go to Asia last August to sharing my testimony at another church just a couple of weeks ago.
I’m thankful for all the amazing friends I’ve made, whether they have been in my life for several years or just a couple of months. I’m thankful for my squad and I’m beyond excited to meet each one of them in a couple of months.
I’m so incredibly thankful for all the supporters that I’m surrounded by, whether they have supported me financially or through prayer. Each one of them has been an encouragement to me.
I’m thankful for school. Even though there were many times where I felt like giving up and quitting, I’m still thankful that I had the opportunity to learn.
Most importantly, I’m thankful for my family, especially my parents. They have been by my side through every tough situation and every amazing victory. They have pushed me to keep going when I felt like giving up. I’m thankful they believe in all my dreams, even though some of them may sound outrageous.
In four months, I’ll pack up all my belongings for nine months and it’s finally started to hit me that this is actually happening. And God has started to show me how I’m surrounded by such amazing people and I’m incredibly thankful.I’m thankful for everything that has happened, even when it was something I didn’t enjoy. It has only shown me how amazing the God we serve is.
