Hey hey there internet friends and family! Team Refresh has been in Malaysia for about a week or so now, and it is FANTASTIC! I can't wait to tell you about the AWESOME stuff we've seen God do. But, that's just going to have to wait for the next blog. (Got you hooked? Yeah? Great. No? Well…uh, what about if I throw in a free toaster and a year's subscription to Cat Fancy? Does that do anything for you? Yeah? Great! Cat Fancy works everytime…)
Right now I want to share some photos from one of my final experiences we had last month in Phuket, Thailand. Our contact took us to a Buddhist temple to walk the grounds, praying in the name of Jesus. We then went to see a giant Buddha statue currently under construction. We think it may be the largest Buddha statue in the world once it's finished. (At least, that's what we were told, and it's cool to be able to say I've seen it, so that's what we're going with.) We walked around the statue as well, praying in the name of Jesus.
At both places I was just praying for the power of Jesus to be there, to touch the lives of the people there, to break the chains of false religion and lies. I prayed for Jesus' LOVE to be there, that people there would experience that love in a real way. For Holy Spirit to speak to the hearts of the people worshiping there, drawing them into His truth, into the truth of Jesus as Lord. It was a powerful and intense afternoon of prayer. (I also did a lot of prayer walking on Bangla Road last month, and we've been doing a lot here in Malaysia as well….and I am LOVING it! Prayer walking is fantastic stuff you guys.)
Alright…on to the photos of that afternoon. And again, stay tuned in for news on this month!
