I really do love
being overseas.
There is just
something about it.
I am more aware
of what God is doing.
I am more
intentional.
I am more focused
and driven in bring heaven to earth.
I have been home from
Liberia for almost 3 weeks and the question is still rolling around
in my head:
Why?
Why do I
operate differently when I am overseas?
Is it
because I am on a mission trip and it’s how I’m supposed
to be?
HOGWASH!
My life should be
ministry.
My life is
ministry.
So,
why did my mindset change the minute I stepped on the airplane?
I
really don’t know, but it sure has made me reevaluate my life here in
America.
A
discipline I am growing in right now is PRAYER.
Setting
aside time to really invest in prayer…
allowing
my heart to be activated…
asking
to be a part of what God is doing each second…
pleading
on behalf of people, countries, and cultures…

It’s
when I pray, like really delve into prayer, that I feel the most
alive,
joyful
and focused.
As
of right now, I don’t think I will be able to go overseas for at
least 3 years while I am in graduate school. As much as I love being
overseas and seeing what God is doing in different cultures and
communities, I am okay with being here…
more
than okay with being here.
My
life is ministry, remember- so I don’t need to go overseas to be a
part of what God is doing around the world.
I
can pray. My heart can be activated for what God is doing here and in
other parts of the world.
I
have some amazing missionary friends who I am able to support and
encourage in various countries.
God
is doing some amazing things here in the Atlanta area and I am
privileged to be a part of it… to be an ambassador for the Lord
here.
My
life is a long term mission trip- just for now I’m not having to
raise money in order to do it 🙂
So
right now, my prayer is that I would be alive,
intentional,
focused,
and joyful
while I am living out my calling here in Atlanta. That I would
continue to learn how to live
beyond myself.
That my life would look the same here as it does when I am
ministering overseas. That His “Kingdom come [and] will be done on
earth as it is in heaven no matter where I am or where He takes
me.

I’m
sure you all are ready to hear about grad school… and you will….
