Budapest, Hungary
In
a little over a month, I will be back in the great ‘ole US of A. We
land in New York City on November 20, which is a Saturday, at 8:45
pm. I am flying back to Atlanta on Monday for 2 reasons:
-
I
wanted to spend a little time with my brother who lives in the city.
-
Chick-fil-a
isn’t open on Sundays.
though we are only in Hungary for 8 days, it quickly became my
favorite country. On our 2ndday, we met an AMAZING
couple, Jonathan and Corinne Long. They are from originally from the
states and have been living in the great city of Budapest for over a
year now.

Their
hearts are for the people of this country- striving to show them the
hope, glory and love
of Jesus Christ. They currently hold a youth/ young adults meeting
every Friday night and watch NFL football on Sunday nights.

This
past Sunday, we all went over to Jonathan and Corinne’s to watch the
Colts game. Now NFL is not my favorite, but hey, it’s football- and
man i’ve missed football. For dinner, they made us Chick-fil-a
nuggets, fried pickels, salad, potato wedges, and chocolate chip
cookies for dessert. WOW, WHAT A MEAL! I may or may not have gone
back for seconds…. thirds…. and fourths!!
I
bet you are wondering how we had Chick-fil-a all the way in
Hungary… let me tell you: Jonathan’s brother owns a Chick-fil-a and
every once, he will send Jonathan the batter. All that was
technically missing is the sweet tea, but I had some fabulous peach
tea instead.

Let’s
recap:
-
I
got to watch football. -
I
got to eat Chick-fil-a -
I
ate chocolate chip cookies -
I was surrounded by good company
It
was an all around awesome day! Thank you Jesus for that blessing.
