Kishanje, Uganda
This month, I have the pleasure of
staying with my home team in Kishanje, Uganda. Each of us 3 squad
leaders have a team which we can retreat to for rest, rejuvenation,
and a bit of consistency. This couldn’t have come at a better time
for me. By the end of our month in Tanzania, I was physically
drained, tired of travel, spiritually empty, and longing to be poured
into. Praise the Lord for not only knowing what I need, but giving it
to me when I need it most. *Side note: I have seen Him fight for me,
find favor in me, and love on me constantly over the course of this
year.*
This team underwent a minor team chance
before arriving here in Uganda and because of that, a new team name
was in order. What used to be Team Current is now Establish
Dominance. Why, you ask?
Because when God’s love enters a room, it establishes
dominance…. plus, it’s a good
phrase for smack talk amongst team members.
Now, let’s meet
the team:
Lindsey Eaton-
team leader
Lindsey is an
animal lover from San Diego, California. She has a huge heart of
compassion and loves to encourage. She is super intentional in
wanting to know the depths of who people really are and desires to
walk alongside them in their journey. Lindsey encourages me to
continue stepping into the leadership God has called me to.
Kathryn Gironimi
Kathryn is a
prankster from Ledyard, Connecticut. She is a passionate woman after
God’s heart and desires to continually walk in the Spirit. God has
gifted her with wisdom and teaching. Kathryn has been a huge
encouragement to me, always challenging and pushing me to be the
woman God created me to be.
Nate Evans
Nate is jokester
from East Moline, Illinois. This is his second World Race experience
and is committed to imitating the life of Christ. He is a shepherding
leader who is gifted in calling greatness out in those around him.
Nate encourages me to press in harder through his pursuit of the
heart of Christ.
Amy Book
Amy is camp lover
from Fairfield, Illinois. She has the gift of prophecy and is
constantly in tune with the voice of the Lord. She will not let
people settle for anything less than the person God has destined them
to be. Amy continually speaks life into me and encourages me in my
growth.
Kristi Kaeli
Kristi is sweetie
from Port Heron, Michigan. She is a very intelligent woman with heaps
of Biblical knowledge. She has a quiet spirit with the gift of
service. She is full of compassion with a heart for taking care of
people. I’m in encouraged by the way she is quick to listen and slow
to speak.
Danny Stinson
Danny is dancin’
goofball from Wichita, Kansas. This man has a way of instilling
passion in anyone through the way he preaches and the fire in his
prayers. He has a thirst for Christ that is absolutely captivating.
Danny always has a smile on his face and his love for ministry seems
to never cease.
Katie Cartwright
Katie is GA
bulldog lover from Norcross, Georgia (GO DAWGS). This woman lives a
life of pure obedience and servanthood. She is quite possibly the
most selfless person I know. The Lord has rocked her world this year
and she constantly desires more. I am so encouraged by her discipline
and growth.
