On Thursday, March 18th, I had the opportunity to go to a prison with Team 91. I was so excited to go into the women’s dormitory since I had been hearing how they sing and dance to a song called ” Shake Your Body Hallelujah.” In this song, you get to shake your head, shoulders, hips, knees, feet, and whole body for the Lord. You better believe I was getting down with my bad self. After dancing, Kristi Kaeli gave the devotion and we split into small groups for questions and further discussion.
I was in Kristi’s small group with about 7 other ladies. We talked about hope and relying on Christ in those hopes. Nearing the end of our discussion, one of the ladies told me that since I was new, I had to give my testimony. I gave about a 3 minute synopsis of my life, including what the Lord taught me through my knee surgery. Lilet, the woman sitting across from me, started asking for details on my whole knee situation. While I was answering her, I noticed she had an ace wrap on her left knee and began inquiring about that. She explained that she had been in a car accident over 5 years ago and fractured her tibia, the bone below the knee. I motioned for her to scoot in the middle of the circle so I could get a better look. She took her wrap off, I placed my hands on either side of her knee and asked if I could pray for her. After I finished praying, I asked her if it was feeling any better. She said it felt about the same, but if it started feeling better she would let me know. Not even 2 minutes later, she stood up and started jumping around saying something in Tagalog, Filipino language, with a huge smile on her face. Thank you Jesus for healing her knee!!

Today, Sunday, the 21st, I ran a 5K. I have no idea what I was thinking 3 weeks prior when I signed up. A few days after signing up, I got the feeling that the Lord was going to heal my knee as I ran the race. You would think I would run during the weeks leading up to it, but schedule wise, i just never really had time- or made the time. So you guessed it, I ran the 5K with absolutely no training. The last time I ran was one day in Australia and my knee hurt just as much then as it did back in October when I was first released to run. Even still, I had full confidence and faith that the Lord was going to heal me. So at 4:50 am I started running. Half way through the race, I realized there was no pain. HALLELUJAH, PRAISE THE LORD! I finished the race in about 30 minutes and still, there is no pain in my left knee.
getting ready to run!
just sprinting it out on my healed knee!!!
