Welcome to Kenya! My time so far here in Kenya has been amazing and refreshing. I have taken every advantage of resting as much as possible during this debrief. The first few days I slept for over 15 hours….it was beautiful!
In addition to sleeping, I have also had the opportunity to learn Swahili from the people who work at the hostile we are staying at. Swahili is such a beautiful and simle language. Daily I am mesmorized by this great language. So far I have been able to learn basic introductions, emotions, numbers, and a fun (and really random) vocabulary. I think my favorite is being able to say I am tired in the past, present and future tense. (I told you I slept a lot!!)
This month is just going to be an exciting time. We will be working near the border of Kenya and Uganda with a local pastor and with team Radiance. Already this Sunday, we are going to be preaching at their services. How exciting!!!
In addition to the ministry, we also have someone joining our team for this month. Her name is Kristen and she is sampling out the World Race. I am exciting to get to know her more and to be able to share this crazy but amazing expericence with her.
