With the two world race teams here in Phuket, we decided to devote 24 hours of constant prayer for the girls in the bars, children, men and vendors. We were also praying for something BIG to happen.

Also during this time, we were making letters to pass out the night after our last hour of prayer. Some letters were long and others were simple having the words, “You Are Loved”.
There were over 300 letters that were made and passed out that night. It was amazing what doors were opened from this simple act of seeing broken women and giving them a letter stating that they are important, valuable, beautiful for who they are-not for what they do or what has been done to them, and that they are loved.
There was this one woman named Amy that was sitting alone at a bar and looked sad-almost depressed and ready to cry at any moment. I hand her the paper and was about to walk away until I heard her say “How? My heart is broken?” So we sit down, order our Sprite and Coke and begin to talk with this woman. She describes how her boyfriend of 9 years left her for another woman. She has been with a few men who she has given her heart fully to, and it was only broken even more than before.
She then asked us “How can you say I am loved?
I begin to talk about how God made the fish in the ocean, the trees and you and me. He said that everything that He made was beautiful and good. I then talk about God’s family and how we are all children of God. And because of this, we are loved by our Father and each other because we are sisters. I kept on saying that God picked you to be in His family and He loves you. So that is why I can say with confidence that you are loved.
In addition to this, my partner for the night, Devon added that God will never break your heart and never leave you.
We prayed over her before we left. We prayed that she would no longer have sleepless nights crying over these men and the physical and emotional abuse it has caused her. We prayed for peace to engulf her. We prayed for her broken heart to be completely healed.
I came back later that night and the next night and she lights up. All it took was a simple note saying “You Are Loved’ for her to open up and to begin the healing process.
Amy is coming to SHE Ministries soon. Pray that she will give up her job in the bar, seek this free training and work freely up north near her 2 children.
