Well I am officially in New Zealand! I managed to sleep for
30 miniutes of the 12 hour flight to Auckland. Auckland is located on the North
Island of New Zealand. Once we landed, we had to get through customs and
immigration. That is always fun with 60 people! But we made it through nicely.

Then we headed outside to the busses that were waiting for
us. We traveld by bus a little over 2 hours to Matamata. We are staying here
shortly at a YWAM facility. Soon we will be heading out to ou first ministry
location.

I am safe, super tired but excited for what is to come. New
Zealand is beautiful and reminds me a lot of Auburn, CA.

Here are some random facts that I have picked up so far:

·
Auckland is pronounced as “Oakland”

·
Matamata is pronounced as “Metta-Metta”

·
Matamata is where the hobbit’s houses were
filmed in the Lord of the Rings

·
To say one is ‘cool’ you say they are ‘mean’

·
‘unco’ is a term for those who are uncoordinated

·
One who is extremely tired (like me) is
‘stuffed’, not full from food

·
The word ‘as’ is put at the end of a
sentence/word is the equivalent of saying really  ex. The fire was really big as. (meaning the
fire was really big)

Well that is all for
now! I will keep you posted as soon as I can find another internet connection!
