The past month or so has been full of spending time with my friends and family before heading out on such an amazing journey. I am so incredibly blessed to have a great support group. They made it a bit difficult leaving them for so long!

There are so many other friends and family who are not shown but they have had a huge impact in my life. Thank you for always supporting and encouraging me, I am so blessed for you being in my life! It was hard saying bye to my family and friends. I have been around them for years and knowing I will not see them for 11 months makes my eyes a little watery. I began to ask myself why the heck would I leave such amazing people and it was hard to hug them bye because I knew it would be almost a year before I could hug them again. Once I hit the hotel with familiar faces and the same purpose, I had peace, I was relieved, I was happy, and I was smiling from ear to ear.
Right now, we are in Atlanta doing some training to learn how to handle money, receipts, emergencies, and much more before we are thrown out to do it for 11 months! My team leaves for Guatemala on Sunday, so we will be having sessions and spending time with out teams til then.
Again, thank you for everything! I have been so blown away the past couple of weeks from the support and love I have received!
