Last Monday I had the opportunity to share with my church missions board about my World Race journey….it was an encouraging time of fellowship. They asked what specific prayer requests I had and asked for continued trust in God for His provision in regards to my support raising……
I then proceeded out of church and over to Whole Foods to get some food. As I was making my way over to the produce I was stopped by a young man who knew my name….lo and behold it was a former student from the high school I teach at, Maurice.
We began talking and he shared what he had been up to since he graduated about 5 years ago (owns his own company and is getting married!) and then he asked about me. I shared about my sabbatical and the World Race journey to which he seemed intrigued. He said that he and his fiance are looking for people to support on endeavors such as these. He told me where he and his fiance go to church and asked if I had more information about my trip. Since I had just come from church I still had letters in my purse and gave him one. WOW!!!
I’m thinking to myself – wow Lord you are AMAZING and capable of MORE than I can ask for imagine! (Ephesians 3:20-21). The timing of meeting up with Maurice and his courage to stop and talk with me…such a God thing, no coincidence here 🙂
May we continue to trust God with all our hearts, soul, mind & strength as He is the ALMIGHTY Lord! There is NO ONE like Him.
