Today I had a garage sale fundraiser and it was a success. I raised $384. $384 closer to spreading God's love in another country, NEPAL. God was definitely working through this fundraiser. I began the morning with bring things out to set up even before the sun was out. At first I honestly thought no one was coming, because our driveway was empty for wuite awhile. But then BAM! God did something! He brought an incredible amount of people. Preparing for this fundraiser I could really care less on how much financial support I received through it. I
felt like God was teaching me that I don't need to rely on fundraisers for support but that I need to rely on God for support and trust in everything that he will provide all my needs. It's more important that the people who come that they need to know Christ, they need to know the unconditional love that he brings, my heart for missions, and about the world race.
I also got to meet one of the sweetest ladies ever, she was one of the people that was so interested in knowing more about World race and what I'll be doing. She took the time to listen.
She recently adopted a teenage girl from Nicaragua four months ago. So she was shopping for her daughter. The girl's name was "Precious" The lady when she left and paid for her items. She hugged me real tight and wouldn't let go. The lady started crying while hugging me and gave me a word of encouragement
"That this is God's calling for me and that it may be difficult especially on holidays but that it's worth it."
One of the last ladies who came by, she seemed pretty young. We just had a long conversation about world race, the whole malaria sickness I had, the things that God is doing in my life.
before she left she told me
" I know you can do this, You will be safe and protected, I just know it"
Just so many people willing to know more and partner with me in this journey. I had my world race cards out for people to grab. It was just a huge encouragement that complete strangers saw Christ through me. I'm just so overwhelmed with joy at the moment.
It was a beautiful fundraiser.
