For those of you who don't know our route got switched we did not go to Bulgaria first we will though just not yet.
Finally in Tegucigalpa, Honduras! Loving the ministry. We get to work with boys that are from the dumps also trying to get away from drugs just violence here in Honduras. It has been such a blessing I would love to share a story with you…
2nd day in Honduras A couple squad mates and myself were trying to just play with the kids outside and get to know them. After we played for awhile my family team asked if I would like to go on a walk with them a way from the ministry site just right down the road, so I turn around and what do you know I see one of the boys Carlos up in the tree just as we are about to walk away.. Something in that moment told me he will just show up and come with us. Well what do you know we don't walk that far and here comes Carlos on his bike going to walk with us. Carlos ends up taking us to this private country club almost, it had beautiful pools with fountains, flowers and gardens every where, also a play ground. I can't wait to show pictures of this beautiful place… After he took us there we walked down the street some more found a puddle I mean a HUGE puddle of water. Carlos decides he wants to go thru it with his bike while riding it.. I think we can all see where this is going. He goes thru and is soaked almost like mudding but on a bicycle LOL he looks at me as if I was going to do it too.. In that moment God put on my heart just do it..be like a kid, go for it I have nothing to lose, so I said okay got on the bike as he pushed me thru this huge puddle I just got soaked and couldn't do anything but laugh so hard that I almost couldn't breathe. In that moment he was also laughing so hard & it was so special something I will never forget! This story is so simple and small but wow in that moment it meant everything to me just being able to be a big kid again and have fun with this boy! I can't for you to also see pictures of what I looked like afterwards!!! Ever since that moment of connection that our Heavenly Father gave me ..when he sees me he always has to hug me and give me a kiss on the cheek. It's the sweetest thing ever!!!
3rd Day in Honduras Sharing these first couples days with you because I can already see the Lord working.. We got the opportunity to go as a squad to the city and park to spend some of the day, eating lunch, also getting to hear about the city itself from Tonys wife our host mother. When we were at the park it was breath taking being able to see all of the city just over looking it. We also got to pray for the city and all the violence here in Tegucigalpa. After we did that they took us to the mall reminded me so much of the united states this is where we get Internet.
On the bus on the way back I got to sit by Liz one of the girls in my family team, we started talking about life and struggles we have gone through it was so neat because she told me she would always be here for me no matter what. Liz said she is my sister and will be here through thick and thin, also that she will fight for me. In that moment I finally grasped what a real sister and best friend is. A precious gift from God! I thank the Lord for placing these women in my life not only that but putting them in my family team! This is a great example of Christ's love for us. God not only loves us, but wants to be here for us through everything. He is the one that gave us life, not only that but is fighting for us every second of every day!! We are His beloved children, sons & daughters of the most high!! Let's praise him for our brothers & sisters!
Later on that night I told Kenzie one of my squad mates & best friend that I would love to be on an all women's team the rest of the year!! I can't help but to thank the Lord for these women, I'm already learning so much from each and everyone of them. God has given me something I've never had!
When I have had quite time I've been reading Jeremiah 29 out of the message
I have read Jeremiah 29 tons of times before but never actually broke it down and realized Gods decree & his promise to us!
Verses 11 – 13
I know what I am doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. "When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. "When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed." Gods Decree
God knows exactly what He is doing we can try to plan all we want but it is only up to the Lord and the plan that He has for us. Before coming on the race I gave him total control of my life and where He wanted me & Praise the Lord I am here now 🙂 emotions came into place as I read this once again. If you just ask the Lord he will direct you where he wants you but you have to surrender and give him total control and faith that He will lead and guide you where he wants you! He is a faithful Father when you ask He will hear and listen and will respond but you have to remember it may not be exactly what you are wanting to hear but He has your best interest so just give everything you got to the Lord. One other thing when you are serious about following him he will satisfy you. In the bible it says something about being hungry the Father will feed you, He feeds the hungry. If you are hungry just ask the Father, he will not disappoint you!!!
I wanted to take a second to also share yesterday…
We went to INHFA yesterday it is like a disciplinary school: alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and also children with disabilities. Part of my family team got to work with some of the special needs kids which was an eye opener for me and also the first time I got to work with them. They are the smartest kids I know and also just want to be loved like every other kid. They are probably the most loving kids, also they are Gods children! They are beautiful children!!! One of the boys Gabriel loved putting on stylish things as in glasses we had on also a hat and I gave him my watch to wear for a few hours. Gabriel had so much joy and happiness, with every smile you saw Jesus shining through Him! I can't wait to see him also the other kids next time. Thursday is when we go to INHFA.
TODAY As a squad we are bringing Jesus to the streets!!!! Sooo excited about this. We have made posters that say Jesus loves you & will be praying for people while we are sharing Christ's love!
