Made it to Antigua Guatemala! My family team is staying in a hostel along with two other family teams for this month. Our host and contact Luis took us around the city to learn some history about Antigua. This city is so beautiful, we are so blessed to stay where we get warm showers and beds to sleep in, also internet once in awhile. Today was our first day for ministry!!!! Three of my teammates and I worked at Casa de Jackson a malnutrition clinic, has about 14 babies. We work every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I'm so excited about this ministry and what the Lord has planned, also Tuesday and Thursday we will be working in the hospital with cerebral palsy kids. This will be my first time for this in the hospital, but I know this was the Fathers plan for this month and for our team to be in Antigua!
I know we just now started ministry here, but we have had a few days off. The past few days the Father has confirmed this is where we are suppose to be. The Lord has been blessing me with divine appointments almost every day, having the opportunity to let the spirit speak life into others I don't even know.
Just to name a few…
The first day of being in Antigua some of my family team went out to the market shopping around. We ran into a lady that worked for YWAM and lives in Canada, she shared her story with us and was able to speak truth into our team as a whole.
While this was going on in the market a man working at a shop was watching us talk to this lady. We end up going into his store, he starts asking us questions about why we are here and what we are doing, so cool we got to tell him our stories and how the Lord orchestrated all of us together. While we are in his store chatting with him, we look around and see tons of David Platt books like radical, also crazy love by Francis Chan, all in Spanish. Two of my favorite books! This guy named Carlos gives all of us a bracelet and invites us to church, also he gave us the ends and outs where to eat and not to eat. Simple things but so good to know. Carlos showed us around after we got the opportunity to pray for him.
Two divine appointments back to back.
There has been more than just those two. One actually happened today while I was out to lunch with my sister Whitney. We met a 34 year old woman with two kids, with her was a amigo friend that was just a 17 year old boy. The boy was a Christian, but the Lord was working in the lady's life she stopped going to church for 7 years and wanted to start back, also take her kids, so the Lord gave us this time and appointment to invite her to the church we are attending while we are here and to pray Life back into this lady not only that but her two kids, also Irvin the 17 year old. They were so grateful and thankful, I'm thankful & blessed because the Father set this up, He knew exactly what these people needed and how he was going to use us with this time. His precious time to reach his beloved!
I have been learning so much I wanted to write so you know what's going on and aren't wondering. I hope to write so much more of what the Lord is doing inside of me, so new blog coming soon…..
