One might say that I’ve had an adventurous summer. I’ve rafted in class five rapids and climbed some of America’s tallest peak. While this was all a blast, I keep looking forward to this big adventure that God has called me to: The World Race. I have just left Colorado, the state I know and love so dearly, to begin my journey around the globe. Preparing for this adventure has felt like a blur, a race of its own. Now I can finally say that it’s time to begin the journey. As I sit here in New York, I think about how blessed I’ve been over the past year.

God has blessed me with good health, a challenging community (in the best way), and amazing friends and family; they held an awesome surprise party to send me off this weekend! He has blessed my support raising over the past year, and helped to cultivate some new friendships. I’m so thankful for all that He’s blessed me with over the past year, and even if it was all stripped from me, I’d know that He is still good.

As my team and I begin making our way to Atlanta, I’d like to ask for prayers that we’d have hearts that are: prepared to share the gospel, willing to love well, and become vulnerable enough to allow God to fill us up daily. I appreciate all of the praying that you’ve sent our way recently and I would like to invite you to join a prayer team that I am putting together stateside. If you would like to receive e-mails reguarding prayer that we need while on the field, text me your e-mail address and the words Prayer Team to (970)-623-5074!

I will be in New York visiting my girlfriend and her family until launch training begins on September 5th in Atlanta. From there, my squad will launch on September 9th to Costa Rica to our first leg of the race. My team specifically will be serving in a small village near the Caribbean coastal town of Siquerres. I will hopefully be posting weekly blogs of what’s happening over there. I can’t wait to share what God will be doing!

Blessings,
