Lesotho feels like this undiscovered gem, and I love that. The beauty here is something that people go out searching for. Never knowing about this place until about a little less then a year ago I would never have known the beauty that it holds. I want this place to continue lacking tourism. That’s what makes it even more beautiful. Waking up to a sea of mountains every morning that haven’t changed but still steal my eyes wonder. Everyday I find another curve in the hill or shadow that bring out a different color as the sun moves across the sky. Sleeping outside, weather that be in a cave or outside my door, I want to embrace this short time I’m here. Falling asleep to a whole new set of constellations in the sky and having them be the last thing I see before complete darkness. I wake up to the morning mountains in their glowing blue colors that are never to be perfectly replicated. I has a dream the other night that I was leaving Lesotho unexpectedly and I found myself so sad because I wasn’t able to say bye to the mountains. When I woke up, I ran outside to make sure they were still there, and in fact they hadn’t moved, but I am still going to have to say goodbye to them eventually. There’s always more mountains to discover that are even greater then these. But for now, the Lesotho mountains have my heart, and will continue to due to the undiscovered beauty that they hold, as well as the neglected/oblivious spirit the locals have towards them. I LOVE THE MOUNTAINS!!!
