Honduras
The Lord has blessed me beyond measure just in one week being here in Honduras. We are spending our month of ministry at a place called Gates of Zion. Its an amazing refuge for kids who are struggling with addictions, abuse and are homeless. Tegucigalpa is rough city were many kids are forced to live in dumpsters and in the streets. Most of the kids that stay at Gates of Zion battle with their addiction to paint thinner. Its an escape for them and a source of release from their horrific realities. Paint thinner is easily accessible and its a high that kids as young as seven partake in. Gates of Zion gets kids sober, out of the dumpsters and shares the love of God into their lives. Each kid I’ve come to know has an incredible story. They are all working on their lives and their walk with God. Its an extremely hard journey for them. Thats were we as racers come in. We lighten their load. We share our struggles and triumphs. We walk along side them to encourage and build their faith in Christ. The restorations are miracles!
I would like to share what the next three weeks here will look like.
Monday- Wednesday we spend time working on the property. Gates of Zion is 10 acres of beautiful land. It sits on top of a mountain overlooking the capitol city Tegucigalpa. We have just shovels, rakes, and machetes. We spend 8 hours each day giving back to this wonderful ministry helping to plant gardens, paint murals, building maintenance & field work. The property is covered with swings, gardens and tree houses. Its the perfect refuge for kids!
Thursdays we visit a place called IHNFA. Its a government ran center for children and teenage girls who are stuggling. The girls come from rough backgrounds. They are serious threats to their communities and themselves. They go to IHNFA for support and guidance. I was a guest speaker and had a lot of fun opening up and sharing a small testimony. I also had a message about God being our great Father! After the message we spent time with the girls painting nails, making bracelets, and doing hair. It was great to see the big smiles on all their faces!
Fridays is a fun day were we take it to the streets! We pile up on the busy city street corner and parade around singing Gods praises! We basically act like hooligans making people smile and share how much God loves them. We hand out candy with little messages to encourage. We play worship songs and dance around with joy!
Saturdays is a cool day where we hit the colonies no one wants to venture to. They are the darkest villages and thats exactly where we want to be. We come in with soccer balls and take over. We wear big smiles and pour out God’s love!
Sundays are our day of rest. We have church here on the property. Lately the boys have been the pastors of the services. One boy each week is asked to prepare a message and share during the service.
Our community as racers- It is the coolest thing. We have all our tents set up inside the building and hammocks strung from the ceiling. Some racers are sleeping outside. This month we are here as a squad, all 50+ of us. Its awesome being surrounded constantly with a large group of beautiful people. These racers have a heart so on fire for Christ. When you surround yourself in that atmosphere it calls you to bring up your standard. Its amazing! I feel like we are so blessed here. We’ve got running water and bathrooms. However our showers are freezing! No warm water here! It makes for an interesting time! Each team has responsibilities. Some prepare meals, some clean bathrooms, others mop and sweep. We all do our part to help out on the property.
My team Kina- We start our mornings with personal time of prayer and study. Every other day we gather to have bible study. We are studying the book of Mark at the moment. We are a close group and God is opening us up and drawing us closer. At the end of the day we finish off with “Wolfpack time.” We share our testimonies, how our day was, etc. Our goal as a team- We are hungry to see God release all wisdom, gifts, and love on us. We are on a constant mode of asking for vision to see the needs of His people. We are already laying hands and pray for healing! It will be done for His glory! We can’t wait!

Our goal as a Squad- We are praying for Christ to take back his country. Honduras is the murder capitol of the world! It is full of violence, gangs, and drugs. We are diligently praying for God’s outpour of love and grace. During our time here we want to bless Honduras immensely. We know that every step we take is Holy ground. God’s spirit is on the tip of our tongues and his glory will radiate through our actions! We will make a difference for the Kingdom!

My heart- God is growing me and asking me for more. My prayer list is growing so much and its neat to see all the works I can’t wait to grow in. God is constantly letting me know i’m beautiful, i’m strong, and i’m a warrior. He’s such a great Father!
God is doing amazing things in Honduras and I’m so blessed to be apart of it! My next deadline is fast approaching!!! I still need $2,000 to stay and continue His missions! Please consider partnering with me and help keep the blessings coming through out this next year! Many people will be blessed because of your donation! $10..$20.. Every dollar gets me closer to my deadline! I would love for everyone who reads this to send or post to family and friends! Lets get the word out! Thank you so much for all your support and prayers! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!!
