As launch is quickly approaching I feel it is necessary to address a few things to my faithful and generous supporters.

A lot of people have heard the phrase said “The World Race is just a glorified vacation.” Seeing as I have dozens of friends who live off support as their salary I’m sure they have heard all sorts of negative things about support raising. It is sad to say that I’m sure there are people out there who have abused the opportunity they have been given and upset partners who generously donate. In addressing this sensitive subject I have a few things to add as my own.

It’s easy to look at things on social media and wonder “what is my donation actually going towards?” We can quickly glance at things on the surface and it can look like the racers only go cliff diving and ride elephants. Without looking further it looks they occasionally they take a selfie with an ethic child just to prove they are actually on mission. However I implore you to look past the few pictures on social media. Read my blog in its entirety. Email me and ask me for stories. The race is a lot of hard work and your generosity is going to serve God’s kingdom, whatever that may look like at the time.

In response to these concerns I have a few promises I would like to make to those who have donated:

I promise to steward my funds well.

I promise to work hard.  The race is long days of hard work. Each countries ministry looks different. Ministry is hard to capture in a photograph. Some days it’s going to be a lot of physical labor. Other days might just be rocking babies all day in an orphanage. Just know that I will be pouring out all that I am for the Lord’s work.

I promise to be wise with social media. I promise to post more testimonies than excursions. That being said…

I promise I am going to make the most of the opportunities presented to me in each country. For those concerned I am bringing my own spending money with me as well and I plan on doing adventurous things on my off days. Adventures in Missions is named that for a reason. I believe in working hard but playing hard too.

God has placed an adventurous spirit in my heart and I love to explore and live life to the fullest. SERVING THE LORD DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BORING! I believe one of the biggest hindrances to people knowing Jesus is a lifeless church. Jesus came to give us life, life to the full!

Here is an amazing blog I found about this subject by an actual Racer

I hope I have explained my heart in this. I am so grateful for the generosity my supporters have given. Because of that support:

  •  Myself and my 49 squadmates can be launched into the will of God for our lives.
  • Orphans will experience the love they were denied
  • Widows will be comforted
  • Ministry hosts will receive support and rest
  • Manual labor will be done at little/no cost
  • Human Trafficking victims will experience a Redeeming God
  • Hope will be restored
  • Chains will be broken
  • Sick will be healed
  • Deep relationships will be made
  • Destiny’s will be fulfilled
  • LIVES WILL BE CHANGED!

With all these promises I would ask that you would look past the surface and dig into the heart of the ministry. Research Adventures in Missions. Ask questions! Trust me when I say the Race is messy. It isn’t easy and it sure isn’t a vacation but it is an adventure! I cannot give enough thanks to all my supporters who are making this next year possible. Thank you again, I hope I make you proud.
