Alright everyone, here it comes: the inevitable financial update.
As many of you know, this is an expensive adventure and I have been busy fundraising for a while now. Recently I have held two extremely successful fundraisers.
Garage Sale: God blessing’s sure come in unique ways, and now I know that they can come through a garage full of…treasures. My family and friends are amazing and all donated so much stuff for me to sell. The garage was FULL! We couldn’t even fit everything in and had to display it on the driveway, which was a little interesting because of the weather. Note to self: garage sales are not a fantastic idea in Alberta in September. Snow tends to scare away shoppers… Anyway, despite the rain, and brief snow/sleet (which thankfully melted as it hit the ground!), the sale was a huge success!
Luncheon: On Sunday we held a luncheon at my church. After an amazing ham luncheon, I made a presentation about the World Race. My Church Family is so supportive of me, and I feel so blessed to have them behind me. The meal was by donation, and the amount that was donated has blown me away.
I just want to thank everyone who has supported me so far, either financially or in prayer. Thanks to everyone who donated stuff to the garage sale, or came out to do some shopping. Thanks to everyone who helped out with my luncheon, either with the prep or with the clean up. And thanks to everyone who has given me financial support. Every little bit counts and I am feeling so blessed.

Between these 2 events and other donations, I am extremely happy to say that I am now almost 60% funded! I still have a long way to go, but I am so excited about the success so far.

Dog Wash: That’s right ladies and gentlemen, you read that right, its a dog wash! Clippin’ Along Dog Grooming in St. Albert is sponsoring this event on December 11. So plan to come on out and make sure your dog is clean and pretty for Christmas!
