Just when you think you have things all figured out aka planned out, life takes a sharp curve and things get messed up. Anyone else thinking, “Story of my life!”. Well, it seems that it is the story of my life, yet again, the plans they are a changing.
I will NOT be leaving to go on the World Race in January. The good people at AIM asked me to wait and go with the July 2008 team so that I would have more time to prepare. I trust their discernment and wisdom, because I know they have my best interest at heart. Since I have switched gears, I have been able to live life at slower pace and it has given me time to reflect. I see areas where I need more time to let God prepare me. These extra months are not a setback or a delay. My adventure with God and this radical new lifestyle have already begun. It just happens to start in Wilmington, NC instead of Timbucktoo.
I want to say a GINORMOUS THANK YOU to all my supporters, family and friends. Your support means the world to me. Every time I check my financial support, I am humbled and amazed. To see your obedience, steps of faith and confidence in my stewardship is…. there are no words to describe how incredible that feeling is. Thank you for taking the time to pray and think about what God has called you to do in this world with your lives. Thank you. Did I mention that you guys ROCK!
So there is good news and good news. I will be going on the World Race 2008, and I will be around for the next 6 and half months. Also, for those of you who never have enough time during the holidays to get everything done, you can cross “Donate Money so Kara can serve God all over the world” off your list till after the holidays. For those of you who need to get it out of the way, you can donate online or through the mail. I hope to see many of my Oklahoma Village People over the holidays and catch up.
