It has been a while since I’ve posted a blog. For a little while i didn’t know what to write about. And then something amazing happened… I prayed to God for healing. And wouldn’t you know, God not only healed me but He also gave me a gift. And its a gift I’ve never had before. God lit a fire inside me and gave me the ability to write poems. Some of them i think might be better as songs. But nevertheless, I was never any good at rhyming before! Now its an almost every day thing! I was talking to one of my friends and she really encouraged me. She told me her story and told me that I was all worth fighting for. That everyone is worth fighting for and that’s exactly why Jesus came. She inspired me and so i wrote this poem for her. I thought it would be a good idea to share what i wrote with everyone. I hope you enjoy it! If you think it will help someone you know, Please share it with them!!! Don’t ever forget that YOU ARE worth fighting for!!!!!!
Worth Fighting For
Waiting to go to God to get your life cleaned up
Is like waiting to go to the ER when you stop bleeding
We think we need to be perfect before we going for a check-up
But all the while God is standing here pleading
“Please my daughter, come to me
I can fix you up and set you free”
Even so, she turned away
I can do it myself, is what she would say
God replies, “No you can’t that why I sent my Son
Jesus can help you and He is the only one”
But how could this be
There’s no way you could love me
My father would do nothing but abuse
But don’t worry you’ll never see the bruise
Everything he did was verbally done
There’s no point, don’t send your Son
I’m not worth fighting for
Just let me walk out the door
“That man didn’t show you love
I’m different because I’m your father from above
Even if it were to just save you
You have no idea what all I’d do
You have no idea how beautiful you are
To me you’re brighter than any star
I want nothing more than for you to be at my side
That’s why Jesus went to earth and died
He had to, to fight off sin and death
Please don’t waste His final breath
He said, it is done
It’s over, we’ve won
He went through so much pain
All just to end death’s reign
And He did it all just for you”
God said, and the girl didn’t know what to do
How can that be she thought
Have my sins really already been bought
God said, “I told you that you meant a lot to me
And you’re only scratching the surface of what you can see.”
