Hey guys! This definitely isn’t your average blog. However, it is an important one, and it does provide some insight into what’s going on in my life out here on the field. Please continue reading to see what’s going on.

For those of you who don’t know, I have been facing some medical issues while here in Cambodia. At the beginning of the month I got an infected abscess under my left arm near my armpit. Although, not serious or life threatening it has been some of the worst pain in my life. It has also cost a lot more money than I ever could have expected.
Between the daily cleaning sessions at the clinic and the tuk tuk rides(Cambodian moped taxi) there and back, this abscess has also been painful in my pocketbook. Obviously, as a missionary, I have no income, so I could really use your help and financial support to cover my medical bills.

If I’m being totally honest, this has also been one of the most frustrating things I’ve experienced on the race. Due to this abscess I’ve obviously had to spend more money than expected. I’ve also missed out on ministry time at the orphanage in which we are staying. On top of that, I’ve also missed time with my new team. However, god has helped me remain strong through all of this. It has been emotionally, physically, and financially draining, but I have never once doubted God’s presence in all of this. He is sovereign and He will provide and be there for me.

To date I’ve spent nearly $300 on my arm and treatment is not complete. It is healing slowly but surely, but, according to the doctors, the abscess was deeper than normal, which caused the healing process to be lengthy. I will have to continue treatment in Thailand and the cost there is unknown. That is why I am reaching out for your help.

When I say every little bit counts, I really do mean it. $10 here and $10 there really does begin to add up. As a result of these medical issue I have created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for my medical bills. For those of you who have uneasy feelings about donating money via GoFundMe, I can promise you that the site is totally legit. I’ve used them in the past and had no issues with receiving my money, and my donors haven’t experienced issues either.

The link to my GoFundMe campaign is https://www.gofundme.com/joshmedicalfund. You can also click the GoFundMe icon at the bottom of this blog.

At this site you can quickly and easily donate money to my campaign. Please consider supporting me financially in this matter.
