Hey Everybody!!
Well, we are now in Nigeria. Quite a bit has happened since the last time that I was able to blog… but the rumors are true… Internet in Africa is not so hot.
Team Jubilee and I had an awesome time in Togo. Our ATL month turned out to be awesome. We finished painting what we could at the Seminary, and we met some really amazing people along the way. We even ran into a team from Alabama that spoiled us with a Fried Chicken and Mashed potatos dinner. It was amazing!!
Like I said, quite a bit has happened. We just came out of debrief, and there has been a team change. The squad leaders, with the support of Mike a Patti (our awesome coaches), prayed long and hard and felt that the squad was ready for a shift. That the previous teams had taken eachother about as far as we could. Therefore, the teams were completely rearranged. There is almost no 2 people that were on a previous team on the same new team.
I am now on a team with Bill Bush, Lindsey Fox, Courtney Styres, and Celeste Johnson.
I am going to have a vulnerable moment and ask for your prayers. Pray that we choose into our new team, while still grieving the “loss” of our old ones. We are by no means being asked to give up the relationships on our previous teams… they are still incredibly encouraged, however it is difficult not being with the people we got so comfortable with over the last 7 months. The people that truly became our families. God is so faithful though, and we are excited to see where this new transition will take us!!!
As for my new team (new name to come soon) we are working out in a rural area of Nigeria doing mostly evangelism and prayer meetings. This should be an exciting time as we have had a word of healing prophisied over our team… not just physical healing, but emotional and spiritual as well.
Please be praying for some of the other teams, as they will be working to bring peace between the relationships of Christians and Muslims.
Internet here in Nigeria is pretty rough, but next up is Romania, so hopefully I’ll have better luck there!!
Thank you all for your prayers!
I love ya!
