So, for the last week and a half I have been in AFRICA!!!!!!!!!!!
I can barely believe that those words just came out of my mouth, but it is true!
We are working with a woman by the name of Reverand Martha, in Tama Ghana. (This is a little suburb of Accra, the capital city)
She runs a women’s ministry here in Africa, and boy is this woman “power-packed”.
She truly has one of the greatest levels of faith that I have ever seen.
The majority of our time spent with her has been spent preaching. We have been holding “a revival” (as she likes to call it). These nights have been filled with songs, a little dancing, all night prayer nights, and messages from my team, as well as from team Increase.
We have also been going around to local villages to visit and pray with the people in the hospitals.
Oh my goodness! Has this been hard….but at the same time it has been such a blessing.
We had the priviledge of visiting the maternity ward in one of the hospitals, and there were pregnant women and newborn babies everywhere.
I must say that this is one of my favorite ministries that we do here on the World Race. I love praying over these new babies, as well as the mothers (and sometimes fathers, if they are present)… and I often feel as though I am involved in the baby’s dedication… SO AMAZING! Whether they let me do it because they are Christian, or because I am white, I don’t know…..but I’ll take it!!!
We have also been able to visit a couple of orphanages in the area, and that too has truly been a blessing.
For this month in Ghana we will be helping with 2 different ministry sites, so we will leave Reverand Martha and her ministry this Sunday, as we head back to Accra to join with another minister and his ministry. We are not sure as to what we will be doing at this new site, but I’ll try and let you know as soon as we find out. We will be at this new site for 9 days before we head onto our next country (CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????>>>> AHHHHH)
Next month is our second ATL month. All of your prayers would be most appreciated on this topic. This ATL will be a little different from our last. We won’t have as many things planned out for us, and therefore we will have to find our own ministry site (within reason) and pray as to what God would have us do there. We have also been praying about 4 different options in regards to what country we will be going to. The options are Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, or Benin.
I’m excited to see, but a little nervous at the same time, so any and all prayers in this area would be a great blessing to me.
Well, I think that about sums it up as to what has been going on ministry wise in my life lately. My team, as well as team Increase, have been so blessed this month in all that we have been able to be about. (We are even sleeping in beds and have showers… woot woot).
Internet is quite slow here in Africa, as you can probably imagine, so I will try to keep you as up to date as possible, but until next time…
Loves to you all!!!!!
