Hello everyone! Welcome to my World Race blog!

My name is Jordan Rains and I was born in Houston, Texas where I lived for the first 18 years of my life. I started out going to college at the University of Houston where I was a student athlete on the softball team for my freshman and sophomore years but now I live in Natchitoches, Louisiana (yes, I know everyone has a hard time figuring out what the heck that is or where it is or even how to say it). I am currently a senior majoring in Psychology at Northwestern State University where I am also a student athlete on the softball team. I will graduate from Northwestern State in May of 2017 and I am so excited for the plans God has for me and what He is calling me to do.

When I am not at practice, class, working out, or sleeping, I really like reading and taking long drives to find new “spots” as I like to call them. I also love making the 1-hour trek to Alexandria to go to Chick-Fil-A, since Natchitoches was not blessed to have a Chick-Fil-A. I thoroughly enjoy coloring in my spare time and watching Netflix of course.

I have never done a mission trip or anything remotely close to the World Race. My summers and really all around the year have always been softball so this for me is a whole new thing. The amazing thing is that God has His hand all over it and has a greater plan for me than I could ever imagine. God has put a desire on my heart to introduce people to the love that He shows me every single day and to serve them in whatever way that I can. God has been wrecking my life these past few months and just showing me what an amazing God we serve. I learn something new about Him every single day and He never fails to tap me on the shoulder and just say “Hey, Jordan! I got this! I am here and will always be here for you!”

I am so excited to embark on this journey and just see what God has in store for me and to just grow me in all kinds of ways. I am ready to depend fully on Him with everything that I have and be able to show others the love that Christ showed us by dying on the cross for every single one of us and how He unconditionally loves us. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me and I hope you embark on this journey with me!

With all my love,

Jordan Rains
