In my last blog I was processing through the idea that Jesus is about so much more then doing what is right and staying away from what is wrong.

Well, in between now and then a lot has happened. My last blog was written from my comfy bed at home in California and this blog is being written in Johannesberg, South Africa. Launch in Chicago, travel days, several airplanes , buses and a trip out in New York City have all happened in-between.

(We had a layover in NYC, so we decided to hit the Brooklyn Bridge.)

(Chicago!!)

(I was so loved and celebrated on my birthday at launch!)

At Launch I heard this song…Go to youtube. Type in Inheritance by Jonathan David Helser featuring Graham Cook. Listen to it. Thank me later!

He loves us because he loves us, because he loves us, because he loves us, because he loves us….

This concept blows my mind.

For the longest time I tried so hard to be a good Christian and wanted so badly for Jesus to love me (hints the last blog). I mean I knew he loved me, but I am just starting to realize that God's love is like no other.

His love is there because that is who he is.

It isn't earned or taken away.

He loves us no matter what.

 ALWAYS.

His love for us is not dependent on anything it just is, because that is who He is.

That is absolutely beautiful.

But this concept goes against everything we are taught in life.

In life you get what you give.

So part of me thinks this doesn't seem fair that I would get the same amount of love as someone who doesn't do as much as I do or someone who does more than I do.

In my mind it makes sense that Jesus loves us according to how much we love him and how much we do for him.

The concept that what you put in is what you deserve back.

I am so glad that Jesus isn't like that.

It makes me love him even more, because He is the only love of that sort.

Jesus' love for us is not based on anything other than the fact that He loves us because he does.

With God I always felt like I had to earn his love.

Read my BIble enough, pray all the time, serve everyone, be nice, be a good person and the list goes on and on.

The truth is that Jesus' love is not dependent on any of that.

It is a love that just is, it is not dependent on anything I do, it just is.

So know that you are loved by Jesus. No matter what your past. present or future holds. YOU ARE LOVED.

Jesus doesn't take his love away from us or dangle it over us as a reward if we do enough right things. NO. He loves us always!

I am starting to live in that.

I want to let myself be outrageously loved by Jesus and outrageously love him back.

Not because I have to, but because I get to.
