Thank God we finally made it to Belize!!! Today was my first day here and we started part of the ministry that God wants us to accomplish while here. I say finally, because according to plans we were supposed to be here since yesterday. But the enemy has been at war with the Holy Spirit doing all he could to try to stop this mission. When the plans of the mission first started there were a group of 7 people, and than it went down to 5 and last minuet one last person decided to back out of the mission! And that’s that all the plane tickets and all had been already been bought!
And since Friday which was the day before we were supposed to leave, one of the youth had trouble with his traveling without a parent form, he couldn’t find it! And for a minuet he must had felt like he wasn’t going to be able to make it, however by God’s grace we were able to get this new document done for him!
And Yesterday when we were supposed to leave SFO it so happened that we had trouble at the kiosks and the agents sent us to their customer service which was far away and we had to drag all of our 50lbs bags with us!! And by the time we got there, the live was so huge and by the time we got there, it was too late to board our flight! So as you can imagined we felt so frustrated, irritated, tired, and well even discouraged.
That day I was talking to God and expressing my frustration about this whole situation and than God revealed to me that there was a spiritual warfare going on! The enemy was angry that we were going to Belize to share the good news of the gospel! And that we needed to stay strong and trust in Him because He has already won the battle.
Praise God we were able to board a later flight. But when we got yo our layover airport, the agents were telling us that there were some problems with the documents that our two young boys had and that it wasn’t completed according to Belize’ new law. By than I started proclaiming blessings over those ticket agents and asking God to help us once again! We were half way through! Almost in Belize! And God as always supported us!! The agents made an exception to the rule since it was a new one! Who can do miracles like that?? Nobody! Only Jesus Christ!!
This has been one of the times that we have had the most issues trying to get to Belize! And that’s that we have a really small group! We thought that it would be a piece of cake! But no, it hasn’t been that way! but it’s ok because we are trusting in the Almighty!! The King of Kings is our Heavenly Father. He is the one that has called us on this mission and the one that will protect us all the way through!
once again, all of these incidents have reminded us that we are at a war, and not one that we can see…. But the one that we can’t see! And God is reminding us to stay strong and faithful to Him, to put on His full armor and to be prepared for what’s to come since we are sharing of His amazing love here in Belize! We are God’s ambassadors here and that’s why we need to stand firm as Ephesians chapter 6:10-20 tells us!
Again we are in a spiritual ground here. Please keep us in your prayers so we may not get discouraged by whatever may be around us, or even by the crazy heat and humidity and bugs that we’re encountering! And so that we may take a stand here in Belize and show God’s love it the least of thee. That God’s light may shine through us as we take on this week and praise God with all that we will do!
I thank you for your prayers and support and just know that each and every one of you that take the time to read my blogs are very loved by me and by my heavenly Father! I love you all and God bless you!
I declare that this week here in Belize will be a week full of God’s blessings!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. (Ephesians 6:10-20 NIV)
