Long legs, little waist, dark hair, red lips, 15 years old.
What's the price on this you ask? Only $100 dollars for the night. Only $100 to do whatever you please…

I walk down the street, I stop and pause for a minute, from where I stand I can see three different brothels. I know I'm supposed to go to one, but which one? I look to my partner for guidance, we think about it for a minute and decide to go to the brothel farthest away from us. 20 steps later and I'm there in front of the brothel. A group of young girls are sitting outside on chairs on the corner waiting for males to walk past. They have the nicest clothes on, there hair is done perfect. From far away they could pass for 18 years old. I'm finally in front of the brothel and fear takes over, and I continue walking down the street.

So there I stand on a street corner of downtown Chiang Mai, Thailand. "What in the heck am I doing? Why am I here? God, you want me here to reach out to people? How do I even start a conversation with a prostitute? I don't even know if any of them speak English! Give me the words, Give me courage. Give me Your boldness."

My partner and I turn back around and walk back to that same brothel. We stop in front of the woman and say, "hey, does anyone speak English?"

All the girls stop and stare, I know they can tell that we are not looking for sex. So they stare in confusion as one the girls says, "I speak English".

We start a conversation with the one girls who can speak English. We let her know we are new in the area and that we are looking for a place to hang out…. She was very short in her words, she wasn't interested in continuing a conversation and all the other girls are looking at us in pure confusion. She then said we would get us a taxi and have it take us somewhere. She then was very quick to end the conversation, and that was it. This is the moment it became clear to me that this is going to be one of the hardest ministries I was ever called to. It became clear to me that these woman have never been treated with respect, these woman have never had someone come up and have an innocent conversation after the hour of 8pm.

This probably isn't going to be the ministry where everyone runs off into the sunset holding hands and everything is going to be better again. This is a war. It is a battle every day! Kids are being sold from the villages and are being raped every day. Woman have no where else to go and are selling themselves just to get by….

So I'm asking you …please pray..we need you. We need people out there who know what's going on. We need people praying on there behalf…thanks for reading this and stay tuned for another blog about what's going on in Thailand.

Also I am only $4,500 away from being fully funded! If you would like to partner up with me and help me reach this goal, please click on the, "support me" tab on the left! Thanks again everyone!
