Well, that, my friends, is a long story.

I have always been interested in the world around me; different cultures, languages, habits, ways of living, etc. I love to travel to new and unique places and have learned to thrive on constant change.

My first real international missions experience was when I went to Guatemala in the summer of 2007. I went with a medical mission team and helped translate and played with the kids. It was such a wonderful experience. I saw how people who literally had no material possessions found joy in the things that are most important in life: family, friends, and loving one another through Christ’s example. It was my first taste in international ministry and after that I was constantly looking for more outlets to serve abroad.

During my senior year at UGA, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain for a semester. While l lived there, I worked with a college ministry and built amazing relationships with the students. It was SUCH an incredible experience! To see how God is moving in a very god-less culture really inspired me to become a part of that ‘movement.’
Since then, God has really put it on my heart to be kingdom-minded. To see this life as a chance to lead others to Christ and His powerful love really has become a passion of mine. And I know that passion is leading me abroad.
God has been showing me what it is to be completely self-less and to truly live a life in service to others. Its been a pretty humbling experience, but I am trusting that God’s plan is far greater than my own!

Well, that is the long and short of it. I will update soon! 🙂
