During the time our parents were here, they all pitched in money to replace the old goal posts at our care-point. The ones they currently had were made with wood and rotting away from termites. The shepherd informed us it would be $500 to build two goal posts for the care-point. God worked through these parents and we were able to raise over $700 to not only bless the kids with new goal posts but soccer balls as well!
One of the other care-points doubles as a workshop where men in the community come to learn metal and wood work skills. The men there are the ones who welded and built the goal posts for the care-point.
Yesterday some of the Racers who had parents at PVT were invited back to the care-point to install the goal posts and share in that moment with the kids.
It was so nice to see the kids again. So many of them asked about our parents and were beyond happy to be gifted such a meaningful present.
Thank you parents for bringing such beautiful smiles to these kids faces and giving them a gift that will continue to bring happiness everyday.
