WOW!!!  Time is passing by so fast!  I literally lose count of the days…
It is most definitely easier to make a decision when finances are not an issue. It has most definitely been quite a test of faith for the past couple of months in knowing that GOD DOES PROVIDE.  When you think of what we have to raise for the 11 months to the 11 countires it doesnt seem like $17,000 is a lot to live with for the entire year because we would most likely spend that and definitely more just by living.  But to come up with it out of no where in just a couple short months is a little different.

There is something with just knowing and seeing God's work in my own life and in the lives of others that trusting God is really the only and smartest thing you can do.  I have come to find that I really  cannot do ANYTHING on my own.

Over the past month I have been able to raise funds by working a few days a week at the Hair Lounge doing hair (Come see me) =)  I want to make you look even more pretty before I take off first thing of Sept!  We also did a really fun breakfast fundraiser at Applebees.  It was such a blessing to see all those who helped serve the food as well as sell tickets, and those who bought tickets to come eat breakfast the day of!!!  Most of the girls who helped serve the food the day of were my younglife girls that I used to lead when they were in middle school and now they are graduating from high school! WHAT?!  See…I said time flies.  But the breakfast was full of people coming to support us and we were so busy and had a blast serving food and hanging out with people all morning!  Thank you sooooo much to those who made it!

The next weekend (This weekend) We just got done with a HUGE garage sale.  I have done garage sales before but didn't realize how hard of work these are if you want them to be a success. We spent anywhere from 4 to 6 hours a day the week prior preparing by picking up items, organizing, pricing, etc…. I have to say thank you to EVERYONE who donated items for the garage sale!  We spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday (today) garage selling!  We really could not have not done it without you!!  We had a bake sale where we sold cookies, brownies, cookie pops, soda, water, red bull,  where we had people volunteer to bake/donate, which was as well such a blessing!!   Beacause we had sooo much stuff still left over we have decided to do it next weekend as well!!  So if you have any items you want to donate, or want to come garage selling..we have great things =) Please let me know and would love to get you the info!!    But really, this weekend was SO cool! We had a "World Race" table where we had info, posters, paintings, about the world race and our story and we were able to just speak to and come in contact with many people who are from the countries we are headed to.  Today we met a couple from Kenya (which is one of the countries I will be going to)  . They were at our garage sale looking for shoes/sweatshirts to buy and send to their friends/family in their town. We got all their info so we can try to visit the people, hospital, church that they grew up in and hopefully can serve in their community.  It was so cool to meet them and hear a little about them and hopefully we will be near or in their same town they grew up in!  This weekend was exhausting but so overwhelmed by amazing people and blessings =)

This week I am now preparing for training camp in Georgia for 9 days!  It is going to be intense!!  This is where we need to have all of our gear we plan on bringing on the World Race (backpack, tent, clothes, etc..) This is also where they pick our teams that we live with for the next year!  I am praying for an amazing team..Living with the same 5 people for an entire year is going to be wonderful but really intense.  I am so excited though!  Our squad seems pretty cool!  Our team color is orange! (which sadly isnt my favorite color..(oh well) and we need to show up with all orange gear for the first day when arriving to camp!  We are getting some tie dye shirts and bandanas…we are going to win the team challenges! =)

There are many things to look forward to the rest of the summer as far as fundraising goes!!  I also want you to join me in the journey the entire way!  Please continue to follow my blog and if there are ways of you donating or sponsorships I want to tell you that I am ever SO grateful and would LOVE to suport you as well by getting your company/logo (something) on a t-shirt and promote you here in the states and while I am around the world any way that I can!  Thank you so much for the support and there are many ways to go about it!  I can't do it without you!  I cannot wait to share this journey!  Contact me and I would be humbled and glad to support you while you support me!!
