Hi all!
My name is Jesse (you can call me whatever) and this will be my blog whilst I am on the World Race Gap Year come September 2015! Last week, I was accepted to this amazing missions program to serve across the oceans for 9 months in Thailand, South Africa, and Nicaragua. To say the least, I am STOKED.
After spending the Fall 2014 semester in New York City attending The King’s College, I decided to come back to Orlando to take classes at a local community college. My time in New York was extremely emotionally and academically stressful and I knew that it was not for me. When I came home, I knew it was time to apply to the World Race Gap Year and here I am today. My heart feels more renewed and alive every day.
I am now a nanny for my two nephews, who are crazy fun and a really great excuse to watch Disney movies. I thoroughly enjoy yoga, calligraphy, creating highly mediocre art, netflix, hot and cold tea, and a good book. Over the past few months, I have been learning how to take life day by day, how to make peace with each season of your life, and how to discover joy in every quiet moment.
I am beyond excited, nervous, and overjoyed to be able to be apart of the World Race Gap Year. I am totally pumped to get to know my team and grow closer to Jesus. Please keep me in your prayers this next year and know that I am thankful for each and every one of you who has supported me thus far. God bless!
