Our time spent in Mozambique in January was precious and full of joy. It was also one of the most difficult months so far on the race. When you combine the extreme poverty of the children with whom we worked with the simple and difficult way we lived, blessings and frustrations were all present. But even with all these things, Mozambique left its mark on all our lives.

It was our first month living in our tents. Here they are at the first orphanage location (we helped move them to a new location after a few days there.)

This is the inside of the boy’s tents. The orphans are living here after the flood in 2006 took their parents. A building is being constructed as we speak in Mozambique.

Moving day…

I even got to be a nurse for a day!

Praying for each other on our last day.
