Jesus. The color pink. Church media. Cats.
That’s me in a nutshell. But let me elaborate.
Jesus is the number one priority in my life. You hear a lot of people say that, but He’s the whole reason we are here. That should be every believer’s response. But more than that, every day I’m learning more and more about Him. Lately I’ve been learning that just because my plans aren’t going the way I want them to doesn’t mean they aren’t going exactly according to His Plan. I’m constantly reminded that I have to put some all of my trust in Him in order for Him to be able to use me for His purposes.
My favorite color is pink! And cats are pretty cool.
The last 5ish years I have been working in the media department at my church. I’m mentioning this not to brag, but because it has been a big part of my life over the last few years. I’ve met some of my closest friends through this, and I have learned a whole slew of things I never imagined I’d be doing. It’s seriously been one of the best things that has happened in my life so far.
It was an assignment in my Intro to Engineering class freshman year that I realized my love for children, and it was a trip to El Salvador in 2012 that I realized my calling for overseas missions. Last year (May 2014), after changing my major seven (7) times throughout my undergrad, I graduated from Texas Tech University (Guns up!) with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies, with emphasis on early childhood and cross-cultural studies.
Some things to know about me are that I get overwhelmed in large groups of people. It’s an area I really expect to grow in through this endeavor and the rest of my life. I also really enjoy stories about fun things that happen in people’s lives on a daily basis. I am usually very quiet when first meeting people, but I don’t consider myself shy. I just really enjoy learning about people through what they say.
That’s just a little bit about me. I hope this gives you a better picture of who I am. (:
